♥ Day 18 :: Favorite Gossip Girl Group Photo ♥

Nuff said.

♥ Movie #1 :: Eclipse ♥

Title: Eclipse
Starring: Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner
Date seen: Jan 18/11
Genre: Crap

Plot: Based on the novel of the same name, it's more vampire/werewolf crap that should've ended after the first book. Blah.

Who watched the movie with me: Scarlett and Colie
What I ate during the movie: Fruit muffin and french fries

Overall rating: I didn't even get through the whole thing, I was so bored by it. Jacob was infuriating and needed to wear a shirt through most of it. You don't get to see much time with the Cullens as a family and Bella is more irritating than I remember her. The acting was terrible and it just needed to end.

♥ Book #2 :: Gossip Girl ♥

Title: Gossip Girl
Author: Cecily von Ziegesar
Copyright date: 2002
Pages: 201 pgs
Chapters: 28
How long it took to read: 4 days

This book was: not as good as I remember it being. :(
Category: Young Adult fiction
I learned about this book from: reading the series the first time around and being a fan of the show
Other books by this author: Gossip Girl series 1 and 2, It girl series,
I would recommend this book to: Gossip Girl fans

Favorite characters: Blair Waldorf, Serena van der Woodsen, Erik van der Woodsen
Least Favorite characters: Nate Archibald, Jenny Humphrey, Dan Humphrey, Vanessa Abrams
When and Where it takes place: New York; Manhattan, Williamsburg Brooklyn
Plot in a nutshell: Introducing Gossip Girl, a wickedly funny and risqué paperback original novel about the provocative lives of the young women of New York City's most prestigious private school. Gossip Girl herself is an anonymous narrator with the ultimate insider scoop on the inner workings of this privileged society because she's one of them. Sharp wit, intriguing characters, and high-stakes melodrama drive the action of this cutting-edge novel that will make Gossip Girl the literary world's new "it" girl.

In Gossip Girl, when the beautiful Serena van der Woodsen returns to Constance after mysteriously getting kicked out of boarding school, the whole school is talking. All Blair Waldorf knows is that there's no freaking way Serena's going to just waltz back in with her Jimmy Choo mules and Kate Spade bag and steal everyone's heart again. But Serena's got other things on her mind, like college pressure and living up to everyone else's extreme expectations. Plus there's that guy who stands across the street and stares at her all the time.

Main characters: Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf, Nate Archibald, Chuck Bass, Serena van der Woodsen, Jenny Humphrey, Dan Humphrey, Vanessa Abrams

What I liked best:
- I love how catty the book is written.
- The "movies" Blair makes up in her head.
- Serena is more fun and outgoing in the books.
- Hahahaha. Chuck singing along to Jay Z.
- I love how much I can relate to Blair. She amuses me.
- I forgot how much I loved Erik in the books.

What I liked least:
- Oh, the delusional thoughts of teenagers.
- It's weird to read about the characters in high school after all that happened on the show.
- Jenny's fantasies about Serena having sex with random boys is disturbing.
- It's like Cecily has one character in mind and gives everyone the same characteristics sometimes.
- Dan made Vanessa feel like she had to pee?
- Jenny's girl crush on Serena is disturbing.
- Blair is really controlling of Nate but he keeps leading her on.
- It sounds like from the books the kids read that Cecily read a lot of well written books. Yet her writing isn't that great.
- Vanessa is obsessive over Dan.
- Cecily used the word "said" too much.
- Serena smokes strong cigarettes because the pack is cool...what is this teaching today's youth?
- Spelling mistakes galore.
- Cecily uses "You know you love me" way too much.
- Nate is more pathetic in the books.
- Serena sounds like she's talking to a boyfriend when she talks to Erik.
- The writing is childish in parts.

Overall Rating: I can't believe it's been 5 years since I read this series last. Time flies, doesn't it? I think I was really addicted to these books the first time around because the show was so good and I wanted to know what happened before the episodes came on...although, I soon found out that the show didn't follow the series at all after the first book. Thankfully. The books aren't as good as I remember them being. Cecily is definitely not the best writer and a lot of the characters piss me off in the book. Nate is such a pansy in the books and Vanessa is insufferable. Dan is even more whiny than in the show and Jenny is kind of disturbed...more so than in the show...if that's even possible. Just goes to show, you can't go back...

♥ Day 17 :: Favorite Thud moment ♥

It's a toss up between Georgina Sparks being pregnant with Dan's kid and Chuck getting shot...but it turned out that Georgina was lying and Chuck survived. So, meh.

♥ Day 16 :: Favorite OMFG moment ♥

This is my favorite OMFG (Oh my fucking God) moment, not for the reason you would think...I just can't believe they got away with actually airing this on cable television on a teen drama.

♥ Dream #6 ♥

This dream wasn't really long by any means and didn't have much to it but it contains my friend, Jackie, so I thought I'd let her read about it. :)

I was on the phone with Jackie because her family (Mom, Dad and little brother...not her real family) were coming through Calgary in their camper on their way out somewhere and she wanted to meet up with me. I gave them directions to my place (which was an apartment not the house I live in now).

I met her Dad, who was this goofy fun guy. Her brother was a moody teenager and her Mom seemed upset that they were stopping to see a girl that her daughter knows from the internet. We ignored her and hung out for a bit before they had to leave.

I woke up at 4am because Drew got up out of bed to go to the bathroom and I tweeted about this dream. lol.

♥ Day 15 :: Your favorite episode from season 3 ♥

The last episode of the season had to be my favorite. There was just so much drama. I was all, "Oh, snap!" lol.

♥ Day 14 :: Favorite episode from Gossip Girl season 2 ♥

I love it when they leave New York in the show because the usual drama isn't there but there's new excitement because you never know what will happen next. Also, a trip to the Hampton's? I'm always up for that. So the first episode of the second season is my favorite.

♥ Book #1 :: The Gift by Cecelia Ahern ♥

Title: The Gift
Author: Cecelia Ahern
Copyright date: 2009
Pages: 305 pgs
Chapters: 29
How long it took to read: 7 days (life has gotten hectic...)

This book was: touching and had a very strong message.
Category: fiction/fantasy
I learned about this book from: being a Cecelia Ahern fan.
Other books by this author: The Every Year Collection, The book of tomorrow, Thanks for the Memories, A place called here, If you could see me now, Where Rainbows End, P.S. I love you
I would recommend this book to: everyone. It's a real eye opener.

Favorite characters: Gabe, Lucy, Ruth, Lou
Least Favorite characters: Alfred
When and Where it takes place: Howth, Dublin, Ireland
Plot in a nutshell: Lou Suffern wishes he could be in two place at once. His constant battle with the clock is a sensitive issue with his wife and family. Gabe is the homeless man who sits outside Lou's office. When Lou invites Gabe into the building and into his life,Lou's world is changed beyond all measure...An enchanting and thoughtful Christmas story that speaks to all of us about the value of time and what is truly important in life.

Main characters: Raphael O'Reilly, Lou Suffern, Gabe

What I liked best:
- I love that Cecelia backs up my theory that Chrisy,as is better spent indoors.
- They all talk about/have a lot of coffee.
- I wish I could get pills that cloned me.
- Nice lessons and morals in the story
- I like how Lou's family stood up to him instead of sweeping his behavior under the carpet.
- Alfred getting his comeuppance.
- The last "gift" that Lou gave Ruth.
- The story made me cry.

What I liked least:
- Lou's infidelities.
- The fact that Alison knew Lou had a wife and still wanted to sleep with him.
- The story takes a while to get into (again) and once it does get into it, its kind of predictable.
- Lou is kind of a douche.
- Lou reminds me of Shithead.
- I figured out the ending on Chapter 11.
- There's no such thing as a latte machine. Grr.
- Alfred reminds me of the chauvinistic men from Mad men.
- Alfred is an asshole.

Overall Rating: Like most Cecelia Ahern books, this one started out slow and I wanted to stop reading it at first but I'm glad I stuck to it because the book taught me a valuable lesson and even made me cry. I think everyone should read this book - just keep a box of tissues with you.

♥ Day 13 :: Your favorite episode from season 1 of Gossip Girl ♥

My favorite episode started the ending of one and went into the next episode. It was where Blair and Chuck get together and Nate wants her back because she seems so easy going all of a sudden and he doesn't understand why but she's sneaking behind everyone's back with Chuck.

♥ Dream #5 ♥

It started off with Scarlett and I sitting at a C-train platform looking at the apartment where Leonard Hoffstedder and Sheldon Cooper lived.

"I don't know how Penny got all of her stuff down off the phone wire outside their house, it's so high up." Scarlett pondered.

"I don't know, either." I shrugged. I was sure I'd ask him in a few minutes. I had a date with Leonard. I just couldn't tell Scarlett because she has a huge crush on him. "I have to go meet a friend, though."

"Who?" She asked.

"You don't know them." I shook my head and started my way to Leonard's place. "I'll see you later."

"Fine. Don't tell me. I have to go to work, anyway." She disappeared in the other direction.

I arrived at the apartment and Leonard let me in. Sheldon was flabbergasted.

"Well, where are you two going?" He asked Leonard.

"Out on a date, Sheldon." Leonard answered. "I told you that already."

"I thought you were joking. Tonight is Halo night. We never miss Halo night."

"Some things are more important than Halo night. There's always next week."

"You'll see if we include you next week." Sheldon huffed as he got his controllers set up.

"Let's go before you're roped into this." Leonard led me out of the apartment. "I'm really sorry about Sheldon. He's not used to people messing with his schedule."

"I understand completely, my sister is the same way." I told him. "Her and Sheldon are a match made in heaven."

"Good, can I have her number for him?" He joked.

We had a good laugh at that and went for ice cream. I asked him about Penny's stuff on the wire and he replied with, "Oh, you heard about that?" He was embarrassed about Sheldon's behavior.

"Don't worry about it." I laughed to ease the tension. "Its not a big deal. My sister and I were just looking at the wire outside your apartment and its so high up."

"She was at it all night. I'm not even sure how she did it."

We were getting along so well. Cuddling up to each other as we walked along the way to his local Blockbuster to get a movie to watch at my place.

The next day was some of the same thing. We just wanted to be close to each other. He decided he'd take me out to dinner that night. We took a train down to the mall where he was taking me to dinner. He cuddled up to me and we interlocked fingers.

Drew moved in his sleep at this point and I noticed that my fingers were interlocked with him like mine were in the dream with Leonard. He had a smile on his face and cuddled me up closer to him and we went back to sleep. Normally the good dreams that I have don't come back but this one started right back up where it left off. In some ways...

We arrived at the mall, Chinook...where Scarlett works...and got in through the construction for a new Suzy Shier that I had an access card for. We went through the construction and came up next to Moxie's. A restaurant that doesn't exist in Chinook anymore and where I don't go anymore because it's become so ridiculously expensive...however, since it was a date, I realized that Leonard would be paying for it.

We went in to check the menus and saw that the cheapest meal was $32.00 and the one thing I normally ordered from there was no longer on the menu. Although he still resembled Leonard, he had taken on my Ex's traits from when we were dating.

"Wow, I didn't bring enough money. Can we go dutch tonight?" Going dutch means splitting the bill. Before I could answer, he continued, "I have to go to the washroom. I'll be right back."

"Okay..." Like I had a choice. He had already disappeared.

Scarlett came up behind me at that point. "So was that your "friend" that you've been hanging out with for the past two days??"

"Yeah, we're kind of dating. I didn't tell you because I knew you liked him..."

Before she had time to answer, I woke up to my first alarm...

If you know who Leonard, Sheldon and Penny are, I love you to pieces. There was a LOT to remember to this dream. I had to keep going over it on my way to work to make sure I had the dialogue and everything memorized. I probably made some of it up, but for the most part, that's what the dream was about and the part about Drew was true. In our house we all have a character from this show. I'm Penny, Scarlett is Sheldon, Matt is Wolowitz and Drew is Leonard. So this dream kind of made sense...

♥ Day 12 :: Favorite Gossip Girl friendship ♥

I would have to say that Blair's best friend is Dorota, her maid. Not Serena. They are so funny when they talk together. Dorota is such a sweetheart to Blair. They do everything for one another and never ask questions. I love it that Blair is this rich bitch and her one companion that's always there for her is her maid. Serena can GTFO.

♥ Summer has come and past, the innocent can never last... ♥

I would like to take a moment and say a little prayer for Brisbane, Australia right now. In their time of need, I really hope they can make out of this terrible tragedy and that we can all pull together and help them out. If you go to http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.qld.gov.au%2Ffloods%2Fdonate.html&h=3a396 you can donate to the flood relief fund. I am going to as soon as I get paid on Friday. Anything to help out my friend, Manda who lives there. She's been evacuated and I know she must be devastated not to be able to go back home. It's going to take them awhile to build Brisbane up again. :( It's so terrible.

♥ Dream #4 ♥

I was in a van with Drew's ex, Darla and her daughter, Elizabeth. She had picked me up on the outskirts of Calgary where I was to meet her on her way in from Edmonton. She had some of my step daughter, Taea's baby stuff for Cole and she wanted to come visit as well. She needed me to show her where our new place was.

We were going through my old neighborhoods that I lived in when I first moved to Calgary until I met Drew, Heritage and Chinook. When we got to Chinook, I saw my old friend Dustin from high school and got Darla to stop the van so I could talk to him. He said that a bunch of people from school were meeting at a restaurant in the area and he'd love it if I could go with him because everyone would love to see me. I said I wanted to but I had to get Darla and Elizabeth to the house first. Darla said that if I gave her the directions that she could probably figure it out herself, I should go and have fun.

Elizabeth decided she wanted to come with me, too. So I said I'd watch out for her and we walked hand in hand to the restaurant. We both got chicken strips and joked around with everyone.

It was just a silly, fun type of dream. I think its because Elizabeth and I really hit it off when I met her and we have talked about hanging out when we bring Cole by for a visit in the Spring.

♥ Day 11 :: Cutest Gossip Girl scene ♥

When Chuck and Blair decide to be an official couple. Kind of reminds me of Carrie and Big...these two can be very cute if they put their minds to it. They'd be the Manhattan power couple if they just stopped fighting. Grr

♥ Now Watching :: Mad Men Season 1 ♥

I'm really hoping its as good as I'm anticipating it to be...

♥ Day 10 :: Gossip Girl scene that made you cry ♥

This probably isn't the scene and it didn't make me cry, but maybe if I was still really overly sensitive I would have probably cried at the scene...It was in the last episode of the third season when Chuck was about to propose to Blair in the emergency room and Dan punched Chuck out because Jenny had told him that she had lost her virginity to Chuck. Which really she told him she wanted to, I hate Jenny now. She's such a bitch. I hope she's off permanently. Blair got really pissed at Chuck. Everything was going perfect and then Jenny had to ruin everything. Gah!!!

♥ Day 9 :: Prettiest Gossip Girl Scene ♥

I think fairy lights make everything look so magical...This scene was so pretty. :)

♥ Day 8 :: Your favorite Gossip Girl hairstyle ♥

I absolutely adore Serena's hair. Anything she does with it looks amazing.

♥ Now Reading :: The Gift by Cecelia Ahern ♥

I absolutely love Cecelia Ahern. She wrote "P.S. I love you" which is way better than the movie. I don't understand how every woman I know weeps over that movie. It was crap. You want a good cry, read the book.

Alyssa Milano?? Grr. I do agree with Aurora and Audrey Hepburn, though. She always reminded me of her.

♥ Dream #3 ♥

Drew and I had broken up so I went to stay with the Weasley family at the Burrows. I was friends with the trio and Harry had offered me a place to stay. Due to a fire that had happened there and killed Mr. Weasley and put Mrs. Weasley in St. Mungos,  the remaining family was trying to put the house back together again, but instead of building it up like it used to be, it was put back together in a circle like the Colosseum. It looked like a mansion though.

Once it was all built, the family went inside and I joined them. I hung out with Harry on the front steps after dinner and joked around. However, the next morning, Ron's new girlfriend, Laura Lynn (Britney Spears' cousin) came in and she was such a bitch to me. Harry took me under his wing and we tried to make us work as a couple.

That night, I was on the phone to my sister, Cassy. We were talking about everything that was going on and if I was certain I wanted to be with Harry and not Drew. My answer to that was "Well, maybe my babies will have lightening bolts on their forehead. That'll be cute."

But, deep down I knew the truth and I told Harry what I was feeling. He told me I should follow my heart and go back to Drew, where I belonged. Drew always told me that once he broke up with someone that was it and he'd never go back to them. There's only one chance with him. I was worried he'd never take me back.

He was working at a hardware store like Home Depot and I decided to visit him at work. As soon as he saw me he had that look on his face where he was trying to be mad at me but he was too happy to see me that he couldn't hold it for long.

I sat down on one of the paint bins in front of where he was working and told him that I knew he didn't give second chances and I was sorry things had gotten this way but I couldn't live without him. It killed me everyday we were apart and I needed him back.

He told me he had been feeling the same way. He just walked through life lost and didn't know what to do with himself. He needed me too and he would make this work if it killed him. He was in the middle of talking to me about fixing us when his boss came by and told him that he knew we were in the middle of a serious conversation that we both definitely needed but he needed Drew for a customer and then he could have the rest of the day off.

After he was done his shift, we went outside to get into the car to go home and talk but it wasn't the car, it was a pick up truck. Drew has always wanted a pick up truck but I don't like them and they're not very family oriented, especially with our big family. Not the one he wants anyway...this is when I woke up.

In a way, I like these dreams because they make the love that Drew and I have stronger when I wake up because I feel guilty for the way I acted in the dream and I feel like I have a second chance with him. In other ways, I loathe these dreams because I always wake up wanting to cuddle with him because I really couldn't bare not being with him. I really would be lost. I don't know what I'd do without him. He's my missing puzzle piece. :) I have never been this close and in love with anyone in my entire life. We just get each other.
